Seeds4Sermons: a free Scripture study resource for “harvesting” materials based on “natural sermon outlines” planted in God’s word.

We list here the paralleled sets of words or phrases in the Bible. These dynamically fertile seeds of truth in God’s Word are the raw materials, the core elements, the basic ingredients with which to, among other things, grow well-developed messages centered on Scriptural substance. We hope it will be used to great effect when planted in the hearts and minds of any person interested in studying and sharing the Word as truth.

We offer free access to our basic notes on these passages, but we will soon offer a monthly paid subscription to additional resources (such as detailed sermon outlines, illustration materials, and other service and message elements).

Even in the most productive ministry fields, a spiritual harvest depends in large part on the quality of the seeds of truth being planted.

Finding a starting point for a sermon or a lesson, for some servants of the Harvest-Lord, can be the hardest part of the process, so we’ve gathered a rich variety of Bible ideas– seeds that might otherwise be difficult to gather from locations scattered about the Good Book’s pages– and worked to plant them here in (relatively) neat rows.

Healthy kernels of truth based on the profoundly simple and fascinatingly intricate Truth (and truths) of Scripture are here for the taking and planting in every kind of human heart and mind– every kind of spiritual soil. May God bless the planting and watering and increase of His powerfully fertile and effective words– to a thirty-, sixty-, and hundred-fold return on truth sown and messages grown in ministry fields far and wide.

C.S. Lewis says that Jesus is the “Myth [Who] Became Fact” (cf. Don Richardson’s great book, Eternity in Their Hearts) and Psalm 119:18′s “metaphor” is also literally the only way to go, too.
