The Angel Shook Things Up More than the Earthquake Did

Came Down from Heaven
Rolled Back the Tomb-Seal Stone
Sat on the Stone beside the Now-Empty Tomb

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.

This Was Not Gratuitous Violence

Took Jesus’ Body Down
Wrapped Jesus’ Body in Linen Cloth
Placed Jesus’ Body in an New Tomb

Then he took it [Jesus' body] down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid.

Mary Cried, but She Kept Looking
