Too Bad He Didn’t Have a Couple of School Buses or a Radio Show or “Anointed Prayer Towels” or Something … Who Knows? He Might Have Been Able to Make a Real Impact for the Kingdom!

But I tell you, do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.  And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black.

He Didn’t Say, “Keep it to a Minimum.” He said, “Don’t Swear at All.”

• First Aid Treatment (“Pouring on Oil and Wine”)

His Action Included Follow-Through

• Put the Man on His Own Donkey
• Took Him to an Inn
• Took Care of Him

In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. [...] But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.  He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. “
