The Authority Spoke

Go Home!

The Paralyzed Man Responded

He Stood Up (for All to See)
He Took Up (His “Disabili-Bed”)
He Took Off (Went Home Praising God)

But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins….” He said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God.

Because of the Power Jesus Held, the Man was Made Able to Take Hold of the Bed that had Held Him.

Made a Whip
Drove All Out
Scattered Money Changers’ Coins
Overturned Their Tables

In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. NIV

He Had Come from Heaven on God’s Purpose
He Had His Ultimate Destination Clearly in Mind

The Implications of Acceptance

Accept Christ’s Messengers (in order to)
Accept Christ the Ambassador (in order to)
Accept Christ’s Commissioner (to keep things in order)
