Acts 3:13-15

Acts 3:13-15
There Was Not Much for Their Daddies to Be Proud of …

  • Handed Jesus Over for Execution
  • Disowned Jesus– a Kinsmen– before the Pagan, Occupying Government
  • Asked for a Murderer– Barabbas was Handy, Anybody Would Have Done– to be Released
  • Killed the Author of Life

Fortunately for All, God Made it Possible for This to Only Be a Temporarily Ironic Paradox

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

God the Father had it All Worked Out, Though. We Can Rightly Be Proud of Him, Even When We Don’t Live Up to Our Raisin’.
